What is Kansas Megaphone?

Kansas Megaphone is the online digital organizing program to build community, hold elected officials accountable, and amplify our shared values.

It is a digital volunteer program to help spread commonsense messages and combat online disinformation in Kansas. We’re looking for volunteers to create and share content across social media and advocate for the policies we want to see in our state!

Why is it important?

How does this program work?

Kansas Megaphone covers every corner of the state. From Johnson County to Wichita, Hays, and Garden City, our volunteers are using their social media presence to advocate for progress across Kansas. Sign up at the link below to get started!

Our team releases fresh social media content every week about issues that impact Kansans. Whether your goal is to raise awareness about a particular issue, hold elected officials accountable for misplaced priorities, or advocate for a policy that will improve our communities, you’ll find content that amplifies your message in our extensive content library. You can find and share this content any time through the Megaphone app. Be sure to check back each week for new posts to share!

Network Effect

You may be one person, but dozens of people will see your post, and if one of those people shares, it dramatically multiplies your effect. As a member of a statewide volunteer network, your posts will help get good messages in front of thousands of Kansans. Our collective work tips the scales in our favor.

Joining Kansas Megaphone is a commitment to share content on social media. You set the pace of your involvement – whether you’d like to post once a week, or serve as a Team Leader to recruit and build a team of volunteers, our team will meet you where you’re at to develop a plan that meets all of your advocacy goals. No matter your level of commitment, it takes all of us to advocate for the future we want for our state.

Megaphone is a web-based and mobile app, available on desktop, iPhone, and Android, that helps us build strong narratives and regularly share social media posts designed to engage a wide array of audiences. It is a database of graphics and other content focused on popular issues that you can post along with our messaging guidance. Once you’re in, you’ll have access to hundreds of different graphics that you can post to your social media accounts straight from the app.

The purpose of Kansas Megaphone is to start conversations on social media, change minds, and pave the way for progressive wins long into the future, as easily as possible.

This August, Kansans decide our future. Your vote keeps rural hospitals open. Your vote protects our schools. Your vote defends our right to make our own medical decisions. Make a plan to cast your ballot on August 4!

School starts in one month. Kansas teachers are prepping classrooms for new students. Parents are buying new clothes and school supplies. Unfortunately, our leaders aren’t doing their part. They’re cutting resources from the schools that 90% of Kansas kids attend. Kansas kids deserve good schools. Let’s make sure our leaders invest in public schools.

Gas prices are over $3.50 a gallon. That’s an extra $100 a month Kansas families could be spending on groceries, utilities, or rent. Kansans are working hard and stretching every dollar. We deserve leaders who lower costs, not raise them.
